We came here to celebrate my mother's 72nd birthday. We've had a wonderful time in your beautiful home. My Mother is a New Yorker accustomed to noise and activity and more noise, all the time. It was great to watch her melt into the chair, close her eyes and say 'Oh I feel so relaxed.' We went to Hart's Pass, Goat Peak and of course, Winthrop for ice cream at Shari's. On our last night, we had a lovely dinner at the Arrow Leaf Bistro. We've enjoyed every minute of our stay and are glad we found your great home.
Wow! What a magnificent place! We have traveled all over the U.S. to hike and have never stayed in a nicer home. Thank you so much for all of the attention to detail. We enjoyed a fire outside every night where we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and enjoyed the sounds of nature. We went snowshoeing near Washington Pass, attempted Blue Lake but got lost in the snow, and hiked Robinson Pass to the waterfall. We also painted a few rocks for the collection outside. We will definitely tell our friends about this place & will put this on our list of "repeat" visits.
We don't hike. We don't fish. We don't climb scary mountain roads in our Honda.
We read. We draw. We photograph. We visit Confluence Gallery & Peligro in Twisp & Winthrop Gallery in Winthrop.
We love the big table for our books & drawing supplies.
We enjoy teetering up the rocks in the river.
And we try to stop fainting at the sight of the sun, the sunshine on the rocks or anything for that matter, the night sky full of stars, brilliant fall color.
From a life full of schedules and traffic, we came to enjoy the quiet in a beautiful home.
